What is Vox Populi?
We spend hours writing papers that get read maybe a couple of times by professors and TA's, then never seen again. Give your favourite papers a new life and share your writing with the public by submitting them to Vox Populi!
Vox Populi is an undergraduate student journal. We look for submissions from any UCalgary undergraduate student, as long as it connects to our yearly theme and is related to subjects within the field of Classics and Religion.
This year’s theme is AUTHORITY
This can refer to the authority of a person, place, idea, etc., and in regard to religion, politics, military achievement, culture, and more!
Unsure if your paper fits the theme or other requirements? Submit it anyway with a note of your concerns!
Submission Information
Each student may submit up to three entries for a chance to have one paper published per issue.
We accept papers in academic formats that were originally written for university courses, as well as those written specifically for Vox Populi. Please send your submissions to us at agoraucalgary@gmail.com along with a 250-300 word abstract and, if applicable, what course it was originally written for.
Submissions are due February 1, 2023.
Present your research
Previously, those who have been published in Vox Populi have been invited to present their papers at the Undergraduate Panel of the UCalgary Graduate Research Conference.
This year we encourage you to apply to present your research at the 2023 Arts Undergraduate Research Symposium, hosted by FASA.
